Austrian Cultural Forum
Soundings, the Austrian Cultural Forum’s platform, now in its seventh year, is a unique platform for contemporary music presenting and profiling young composers and artists from the United Kingdom and Austria in workshops, symposia and performance.
It takes place twice a year in London, a week in May at the Austrian Cultural Forum London and again in a major London concert venue in November.
Soundings offers a rare opportunity to meet some of today’s leading composers from Austria and the UK, watch them at work and hear their latest compositions - many receiving their UK premiere - performed by some of the finest young musicians.
Soundings allows an in-depth examination into the latest trends in contemporary music. It contrasts the current stylistic developments in Austria and the UK and is a “must” for all those interested in new music and performance.
